Welcome to your simpler, more intuitive walking app!

Unlike other trail and route navigation apps, Trail Navigator Victoria shows you where you are on the trail, measures your Distance from Done, and even alerts you when you stray more than 100m from the path.

With the free version, you can:
* Discover & save great walks around Victoria
* Get directions to the trailhead or starting point, using Google Maps
* See useful trail information — including length, difficulty, and altitude
* Browse other hikers’ photos

And when you upgrade to Premium, you can:
* Use the app completely offline (yep, even when you have zero reception)
* Get rid of the (small, non-interfering) ads
* See the distance remaining as you walk — so you’ve got a real answer when your kids ask "How much farther?”
* Put your phone away without ever missing a turn, thanks to off-route alerts

Trail Navigator Victoria allows you to confidently explore all the natural beauty our area has to offer —
WITHOUT risking getting lost, or relying on the wayfinding methods you learned as a 10-year-old Scout.

“Why do I need an app to take a walk?”

Good question. You don’t!

Plenty of trails have great signage, and anyone with common sense can find and follow them.

But if you want to discover new walks (and find some you’d never have considered), Trail Navigator Victoria unlocks a whole new world of walking.

Browse nearby walks. See photos.

And choose your walk based on the criteria you care about — including trail difficulty, accessibility, or length.

Once you pick your path, you’ll get driving directions directly to the starting point.

Unlike pre-mapped routes or trail websites, Trail Navigator shows you exactly where you are on the trail in real time.

You can also see what type of terrain is coming up:
Green = mostly flat and easy
Yellow = moderately challenging
Red = includes steep climbs or tough terrain

Pavel here! I’m a professional app developer and the creator of Trail Navigator Victoria.

Why did I build this app?

I wanted a walking app that combined the convenience and comfort of technology with a lightweight, simple approach.

To put it another way: I wanted to truly be present while walking, without constantly checking my phone.

So when I discovered the perfect walking app didn’t exist… I built it.

Join the growing Trail Navigator Victoria community now to discover new trails, add your favourite walks, and spend more time enjoying where your feet can take you.
